About Brian

Brian was the son of Ken and “Charlie” Caraway and a big brother to Anthony and Alison.   He was a graduate of Independence High School and a junior at UNCC where he was majoring in Business Administration when he was diagnosed with lymphoma.  He was blessed with good health up until that time.  Brian was very athletic, quite handsome, very sociable and a most loyal friend.  He was well liked and never met a stranger.  Brian was very compassionate on one hand and very competitive on the other.  He was a member of Kappa Alpha at UNCC where he gained a lot of brothers.   Although Brian’s years were cut way too short, he lived life to its fullest and enjoyed his relationships with others as much as humanly possible.

He is missed tremendously by his family and friends but we treasure all the good times we shared with him and trust that he is in God’s care.  This tournament is a great honor to Brian and we’re sure he’s wearing a big smile every year on this “Best Day All Year”.
